Microbiome RNA Collection Kit OMNIgene·ORAL

This is a kit for safely and easily collecting and storing bacterial and viral DNA/RNA from saliva. DNA/RNA can be stored at room temperature for up to three weeks.

"OMNIgene ORAL (OM-505)" is a research reagent for collecting and long-term storage of viral RNA from saliva. It can preserve DNA/RNA derived from the microbiome at room temperature for three weeks. Since the novel coronavirus is RNA-based, it is believed that the kit can be used as a specimen collection kit prior to PCR. By simply collecting saliva, it allows for easier specimen collection while ensuring greater safety for healthcare professionals compared to traditional methods that use swabs to collect nasal mucosa.
